Part of the Basel-Jura innovation system with leading institutions, complemented by low-threshold innovation initiatives

Basel-Landschaft participates in the Regional Innovation System (RIS) Basel-Jura. The RIS includes leading educational, research and workplace institutions such as the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area AG, CSEM Muttenz and Swiss TPH. In parallel, the canton Basel-Landschaft furthers innovation with low-threshold initiatives.

The Basel-Jura innovation system will be tightly linked to the education system and its institutions. It will be set up in close cooperation with leading partners such as the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area AG, the Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM) in Muttenz and the Swiss Tropic- and Public- Health-Institute (Swiss TPH). The promotional and networking platform BaselArea.swiss and the “BaseLaunch accelerator” for healthcare enterprises will also participate, as will various other subsidised and private initiatives.

The innovation system is complemented by numerous low-threshold innovation initiatives and platforms such as the Technologiepark Basel, the “Basel Inkubator” of Basel university and the university of applied sciences and arts FHNW, the start-up agency EVA, the TechCenter Reinach and the Reinach business Parc, the business park Laufental & Thierstein in Zwingen, the business park Oberbaselbiet and the Tenum as well as the Startup Academy in Liestal. All of the above support innovative ideas on their way to the market.
